Students For Local Action (SLA) is the first student-led interest group dedicated to climate action at the University of Oklahoma. SLA brings together stakeholders from a variety of fields including climate science, economics, and urban planning to collaborate on policy solutions. 

Our team is comprised of passionate student advocates with a wide range of backgrounds who are committed to driving progress towards a more sustainable and equitable future. We develop effective leaders and citizen lobbyists by turning passion projects into sustainable progress.

As a leading voice of OU's climate community, SLA is active in policy development for the Norman City Council and its related committees. Through our work, we aim to inspire and mobilize action on climate change, creating a more sustainable and just world for all.
